1878 - General Philip H. Sheridan recommended the removal of the garrison, Fort Stambaugh, at in Smith's Gulch.

1910 - The women at The Wyoming State Hospital for the Insane were transferred to their newly built women's quarters known as "Brook's Cottage."

1920 - Wyoming ratified the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It prohibits each state and the federal government from denying any citizen the right to vote based on that citizen's sex.

1976 - Near Rawlins, a 2.3 magnitude earthquake occurred.
