1990 - Janet Jackson's single "Alright" hit #17 in the U.K. It also hit #4 in the U.S.

2004 - Los Angeles Lieutenant Art Miller said in a written statement that "on May 28, 2004, detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department's Juvenile Division officially concluded their two-month investigation into allegations of child abuse against Michael Jackson. After an extensive investigation, which included hours of interviews with the person making the allegations, detectives concluded there was no evidence that any crime occurred. No charges will be sought." The charges were unrelated to the charges in Santa Barbara, CA.

2005 - Closing arguments in the Michael Jackson child molestation trial took place.
