1979 - Ronald Reagan visited the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and was told the U.S. has no defense against nuclear attack, with the exception of the threat of retaliation.

1982 - President Reagan and the First Lady watched the movie "Rocky III."

1984 - President Reagan spoke with Illinois Governor James R. Thompson. The call was broadcast at the National Governors' Association Annual Summer meeting in Nashville, TN.

1986 - President Reagan hosted a luncheon with corporate leaders for supporting "Vote America Youth" initiative.

1987 - At Bethesda Hospital, MD, President Reagan had carcinoma removed from the tip of his nose.

1988 - President Reagan met with Secretary Jim Baker and learned that Baker would be resigning to help Vice President George H.W. Bush run for President.
