1889 - In Wyoming Territory, an election was held for the approval of the constitution completed on September 30. It was ratified by the people by an overwhelming majority.

1925 - In Wyoming, Nellie T. Ross was sworn in as the the first woman governor inthe United States.

1961 - In Daniel, WY, the Upper Green River Rendezvous Site was designated a National Historic Landmark.
