1984 - Epic Records set a record as two million copies of the Jacksons’ "Victory" were shipped to stores. It was the first time that such a large initial shipment had been made.

1988 - Michael Jackson's single "Dirty Diana," from the album "Bad," hit #1 in the U.S. The feat made him the first artist to have five #1 singles from an album.

2009 - Michael Jackson's ex-wife, Deborah Rowe won a delay in a custody hearing while she decides whether she wants to raise her two children with Jackson.

2009 - It was announced that the DEA had joined the investigation into Michael Jackson's death at the request of the Los Angeles police.

2010 - In New Orleans, Janet Jackson performed at the Essence Music Festival. It was her first stage performance in two years.

2013 - "The Indispensable Collection" and "The Ultimate Fan Extras Collection" were released by Epic/Legacy Recordings in exclusive iTunes packages. The anthologies contained nearly 270 songs.
