1977 - Nellie T. Ross died at the age of 101. She was inaugurated as the first woman governor in the United States in 1925 when she was elected the fourteenth governor of Wyoming.

2010 - In Jackson, WY, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new terminal at Jackson Hole Airport.
