1951 - The 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, limiting U.S. Presidents to two terms.
1972 - The Shanghai Communique was issued by U.S. President Nixon and Chinese Premier Chou En-lai.
1991 - U.S. President George Bush announced on U.S. television that "Kuwait is liberated. Iraq's army is defeated. I am pleased to announce that at midnight tonight, exactly 100 hours since ground operations began and six weeks since the start of Operation Desert Storm, all United States and coalition forces will suspend offensive combat operations."
2009 - U.S. President Barack Obama said that he would end combat operations in Iraq within 18 months.
2019 - In Hanoi, Vietnam, U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean Chairman Kim Jonh-un began their second summit.
